Transforming Envy into Energy
Envy doesn’t have to destroy us. With the right mindset, it can become fuel for growth.

Envy can be redirected into growth if we choose wisely:

  1. Count your blessings: Gratitude shifts focus from what’s missing to what’s already abundant.
  2. Channel envy into improvement: Use it as motivation to pursue qualifications, set realistic goals, and celebrate your progress.
  3. Follow your own GPS: Stop measuring yourself by others’ standards. Your path is unique.
  4. Do what brings joy: Hobbies, volunteering, friendships; these nourish the soul far more than scrolling through someone else’s life online.
  5. Avoid distractions: Comparison is a thief of focus.
  6. Seek support: Talk to friends or a counsellor if envy feels overwhelming.
  7. Help others grow: Supporting others is deeply rewarding, and generosity often attracts abundance in return.

Food for Thought: What is one area of your life where envy could be turned into motivation instead of misery?
