Complainers: They feel powerless and blame others. Listen, acknowledge, but don’t agree. Shift them toward problem‑solving. Teach them to “fish” rather than depend on you forever.
Clams: Silence can be more unsettling than words. Use open‑ended questions: “How do you feel about this?” Wait patiently. Sometimes discomfort draws them out.
Negativists: They see only obstacles. Don’t argue. State your optimism, acknowledge risks, and move forward. If persuasion fails, act decisively and announce your plan.
The lesson here is to be proactive, not reactive. Respect, patience, and focus keep you in control.
